Last Thursday, January 19, 2012 FEMA and many other disaster-related entities held a site meeting at the Bridge, and came to the conclusion that it was definitely a project within their scope of work.  All of the other agencies in attendance, DEC, DEP, SHPO, DOT, the County and the Town were all very much in favor of taking on the bridge restoration as soon as possible, in order to prevent it from falling into the river. This is fantastic news, as it involves their help with funding, a chief concern for a project this size. There is another meeting scheduled for next week, to iron out some details and come up with a preliminary plan.  We will keep you posted!
